GPL’s Parika centre robbed by armed bandits

 The Guyana Power and Light (GPL) says that just after midday today, three armed bandits stormed its Parika Customer Service Centre; robbing the location of all revenues received up until that time, holding the  staff and customers at gun point and disarming a security guard of a gun.

Van ploughs through crowd in Barcelona, killing 13

  BARCELONA,  (Reuters) – A van ploughed into crowds in the Spanish city of Barcelona today and a regional official said 13 people were killed in what police said they were treating as a terrorist attack.
