Bolivia’s Morales vows second-round vote if fraud found in official tally

LA PAZ, (Reuters) – Bolivian President Evo Morales today vowed to hold a run-off election if an audit of a vote count that handed him an outright win finds evidence of fraud, as he sought to calm a sixth day of protests and international criticism over his disputed re-election to a fourth consecutive term.

Biggest demonstrations yet rock protest-stricken Chile

SANTIAGO, (Reuters) – As many as a million Chileans protested yesterday in the capital Santiago in the biggest demonstrations yet since violence broke out a week ago over entrenched inequality in the South American nation.

Republican lawmakers storm hearing room, disrupt Trump impeachment inquiry

WASHINGTON,  (Reuters) – A U.S. House of Representatives impeachment inquiry devolved into chaos yesterday as Republican lawmakers, encouraged by President Donald Trump to get tougher in fighting Democratic efforts to impeach him over dealings with Ukraine, stormed into a high-security hearing room and delayed testimony by a witness.
