Dear Editor,
In Stabroek News, October 31, 2011, ‘NACTA polls put PPP in the lead,’ PPP pollster, Mr Vishnu Bisram, claims that the results of his latest poll show that “the PPP is polling 48%, followed by APNU 25%, AFC 8%, JFAP 1%, other parties less than 1%, and 17% undecided or no response.”
Dear Editor,
There should be some system in place for the spending of money on election campaigns by the various political parties as well as in relation to the allocation of state radio and TV time.
Dear Editor,
Guyanese will be asked on November 28 to make a decision that will determine whether we move forward at an accelerated pace under another PPP/C administration or whether we run the risk of reversing the social and economic gains made by the current administration since its assumption to office on October 5, 1992.
Dear Editor,

Dear Editor,

Dear Editor,
From my experience as moderator of several recent TV call-in programmes on election matters, I support the urgent call for Gecom (and the political parties) to get their voter education programmes up and running now.
Dear Editor,
I was told recently by an employee of Western Union that my ID card issued in 2001 could no longer be used as a form of identification and that only the new ID cards can be used for the purpose.
Dear Editor,
I am very, very annoyed at the behaviour of GT&T English Segment Judge Gordon Moseley towards participant Nia Allen at Monday night’s show at the National Cultural Centre.
Dear Editor,
The destruction of the stalls at the Parika stelling, East Bank, Essequibo had to take precedence over wider political considerations – the voters on the Essequibo Coast, who have suffered for many years under this Jagdeo-Ramotar regime.
Dear Editor,
Gecom has published in the print media certain advisory information pertinent to the upcoming elections, but I would like to ask how can I as a voter unwittingly spoil my vote in the ballot booth?
Dear Editor,
This statement was made by Mr Bisram (SN, Nov1o): “It is curious that Mr Beharry would not see himself falling under the categories of Indo-Guyanese, Indo-Caribbean or Indian American.
Dear Editor,
I would like to congratulate the Merundoi Incorporated and its collaborating partners for their initiative and excellent execution of the 2011 Presidential Debate held at the Theatre Guild on Wednesday evening.
Dear Editor,
The 2011 general and regional elections must rank as a watershed for Afrikans as further social and economic marginalization can push us over the brink.
