Dear Editor, I am prompted to follow up Mrs Searwar’s letter (‘Gutters and alley in part of Queenstown need to be cleaned properly’ SN, April 25) since my circumstances are similar.

Dear Editor, On Tuesday 27th I tried calling the GPL Garden of Eden plant to report an electrical problem at Grove on the East Bank Demerara.

Dear Editor, I am distraught hearing the ridiculous and one-sided comments of persons all over the media about littering.

Dear Editor, In response to Dr Joey’s Jagan’s missive on ‘big tent politics’ in Trinidad and his appeal for it in Guyana among the opposition parties (‘Trinidad’s big tent politics should be instructive to the opposition in Guyana’ SN, April 28), I am not endorsing or opposing it, but just noting some differences as it applies to Guyana and Trinidad.

Dear Editor, May Day is the day set aside internationally to commemorate our centuries of struggle.

Dear Editor, Thank you for providing me with this opportunity to respond to Mr Gideon Cecil’s letter ‘Former judges of the Guyana Prize for Literature should not be allowed to submit entries’ (SN, April 29). 

Dear Editor, What can and should we demand of Guyana’s regulatory bodies?

Dear Editor, I have noted Kaieteur News’s notice to readers detailing a nefarious, systematic Government of Guyana campaign to strangle KN by drastically decreasing or withdrawing government advertising as a punitive measure.

Dear Editor, I would like to convey our most sincere thanks and gratitude to the men and women of the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority, the Guyana Defence Force and the owners and staff of private aviation companies who coordinated, planned and executed the recent search and rescue operation that located the missing BO-105 helicopter, registration N911BH. 

Dear Editor, Since Mr Robert Corbin announced that he will not be the presidential candidate for the PNCR-1G at the upcoming general elections, many opinions have been expressed as to the way forward.

Dear Editor, With reference to the ongoing debate as to whether children 13 years of age should be allowed to work, I would not argue for or against but would like to comment on the legal aspect.

Dear Editor, I believe persons wishing to choose English as their major at the University of Guyana Berbice Campus are at a sore disadvantage, since this is not possible unless one travels to Turkeyen.

Dear Editor, I refer to a very fascinating letter published in the Sunday Stabroek of April 25 by Ruel Johnson under the caption ‘The Guyana Prize for Literature has gone missing.’

Dear Editor, The recent letter to SN titled ‘The level of resources committed to reducing the drug trade should also be given to a comprehensive drug demand reduction programme’ (April 27) spurred this letter.

Dear Editor, Last month the post office on Lamaha Street rejected my new national ID card because the Old Age Pension had the old ID number.

Dear Editor, The registration of all Justices of the Peace (JPs) and Commissioners of Oaths to Affidavits (COAs) with the Guyana Justices of the Peace and Commissioners of Oaths to Affidavits Association should be made mandatory by the Office of the President in order to ensure the regularization, monitoring and sanctioning of all JPs and COAs.
