Dear Editor, Our presence in what is now the interior of the country or, as our coastland ‘brethrens’ called it ‘the bush’, has been for thousands of years, where we co-existed with nature and kept the forest intact for centuries.

Dear Editor, It was interesting to learn of what was described as the Inaugural Sports Conference organized by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Dear Editor, Guyanese continue to flout Covid-19 rules and protocols.  On Sunday September 26th 2021 around 7.30 pm I was travelling east on Carifesta Avenue and on approaching Vlissengen Road, looking north to the seawall, one could see the long stretches of massive groups of persons sitting in clusters on the seawall with no masks, very few could be seen wearing masks. 

Dear Editor, Guyana may be a good candidate for a new administrative capital.

Dear Editor, Discontentment seems to be growing in private sector and other influential circles over the pace with which Local Content Legislation/Policy formulation and implementation are moving.

Dear Editor, In September’s New Nation (organ of the PNCR), there appears what is termed “a revolutionary plan to equip and support teachers and deliver quality education to our children” during the pandemic.

Dear Editor,  A letter in SN on 2/10/2021 titled: “There is a collective indifference to the chronic degradation of Le Repentir Cemetery” ended with the following rhetoric:  “Why don’t they burn away the place with some crematoriums?”

Dear Editor, I strongly believe the poor people in this country called Guyana cannot have something called justice.

Dear Editor, It is October, ‘Pinktober’ as reverently called in Guyana. 

Dear Editor, In a previous rollout schedule for the 25k one off grant and 2022 pension book distribution, it was stated that the location for North Cummingsburg would have been the post office located at Lamaha and Carmichael streets.

Dear Editor, Strange things do happen for which the scientific explanations are not always readily available.

Dear Editor,  I am deeply saddened by the destruction by fire of the Brickdam Police Station.
