The Netrockers Football Club will tomorrow stage its Annual General Meeting and election of office bearers at the Wisburg Secondary School’s auditorium, Wisroc, Linden from 6pm. The current club president, Collis Gifth, said the main focus for the future was to strengthen the executive component so that they would be better able to fortify every other facet of the club according to their mandate and constitution. “While this invitation is open for anyone, interested persons must understand that these positions are voluntary and may more often require them to give of their time, service, energy and resources and the only returns they should expect is to see the club progress,” Gifth said. He added that the club needs functionaries who can bring something to the table. “Former Guyana national football captain Mr. Charles “Lilly” Pollard who is a founder member and product of the Netrockers Football Club will be launching his `I Got U’ Foundation Football Academy through the auspices of the NRFC and we need to have effective leaders who can embrace these programs because our club can benefit tremendously from them. “Our club has had a pretty decent year in 2010, we’ve achieved a lot and I must give credit to those who worked to make this happen but there are areas that we need to strengthen up and our executive structure is the first and most important area because without a proper head, the body cannot function and that is why we are exploring every avenue to ensure that we have the right set of people to administrate the club because we have goals set for this club that we must achieve,” Gifth stated.
