Weather takes a toll on AAG calendar

As the rainy weather descends upon the plains it is doing it’s part to dampen plans of the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) in keeping  its scheduled  2011 calendar of events.

Mae’s Athletics Club place second at Barbados Relay Fair

A six-member team from Mae’s Secondary School turned in a creditable performance to place second in the club and institute category of the annual Barbados Relay Fair held Saturday on the island.

Ageday triumphs in 100m, 200m races

Discipline proved to be a crucial factor for Junior Sportsman-of-the-Year, Chavez Ageday when he won the 100 metres boys under-20 race which had five false starts at the Eve Leary ground yesterday.

AAG announces calendar of events for 2011

 The Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) has completed its calendar of events for 2011 that starts on January 16 with the annual National Cross Country Championships set for Kuru Kuru on the Linden Highway.
