Guyana Goldfields seeking to employ some 600 persons in 2014

Guyana Goldfields Inc at its 2013 Corporate Social Responsibly support programme event on Thursday last indicated that the company will be seeking to employ some 600 persons in its construction phase in 2014.

A release from the company said that at the event held at its Thomas Street office, 13 diverse institutions and social and community organisations received financial support for their developmental programmes. Among them were two technical training institutions – the Guyana Industrial Training Centre and the Linden Technical Training Institute that received support for the acquisition of teaching equipment and tools. This was part of the company’s efforts to build rapport with such institutions that could eventually supply some of its skill needs as the construction and mining phases of its operations commence.
