Leon Moore’s son named best boxer at DDL/GBA U16 tourney

Harpy Eagles’ (HE) Isaiah Moore was adjudged the best boxer of the third and final two-day GBA/Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) under 16 tournament for the year which was staged during the weekend at the Andrew ‘Sixhead’ Lewis Gym.

Fighting in the 75 to 79-pound division, the son of former world rater, Leon ‘Hurry Up’ Moore out boxed his gym mate, Kevon Mulling in the most entertaining and punch filled match up of the 12-bout card yesterday.

Cheered on by supporters at ringside, Moore jabbed and power punched his way to a points’ victory in the slugfest and pocketed the winner’s trophy while Mulling,
