U-17 cricket…Windwards, Jamaica score big wins

All-round performances from Jamaica Captain Michael Frew and Vice-captain Javelle Glenn overpowered Trinidad and Tobago yesterday on the second day of action in the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Regional Under-17 Limited Over contest in Tobago at the Bon Accord Ground.

Frew and Glenn together added 77 runs to the fourth wicket partnership after they had earlier taken five wickets between them to help bowl out the Trinidadians for 124 in 26.1 overs. With Jamaica in a worrying position at 48-3, the pair joined forces and carried their bat until their team claimed victory at 125-3.

It took the two Jamaican batsmen 13.3 overs, four sixes and a solitary four to ensure their team achieved its target.
