New managers appointed at Republic Bank

Republic Bank (Guyana) recently made a number of new appointments that will boost its services.

The bank said in a press release that on January 24 Celine Davis took over the management of the Corriverton Branch. “She has a wealth of experience with the bank which spans three decades,” it said.

Davis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management and Psychology.

Sasenarain Jagnanan was appointed Manager, Corporate Credit on February 6.

He joined the company on March 4, 1985 and has acquired significant knowledge over the years in many areas of the bank’s operations. Jagnanan obtained much of his experience from “his extensive exposure to the functions of the bank’s Finance and Planning Department, which he managed for 14 years.” Jagnanan holds qualifications in Banking and Finance and is an Associate of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

The bank also appointed Devan Khemraj Manager, Finance and Planning on February 22. Khemraj has been with the organisation for 18 years.

He has held managerial positions at three of the bank’s Berbice branches within the last ten years.

Khemraj is an associate of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and is currently concluding studies towards becoming a Certified Chartered Accountant.
