They were the two “scoring shots” of the century. I am talking about Shivnarine “Tiger” Chanderpaul’s four and six that earned West Indies the match of the first one day over Sri Lanka which was played in Trinidad last Thursday April 10, 2008. Of course they did not give him the man of the match award, how ironic?
We in Guyana are proud of our ‘boy from Unity” and though it would seem as though National Awards are not given out in Guyana anymore, let those concerned make an exception and give an award to “Awee Tiger Shiv”, he deserves it we are all proud of you “El Tigre”.
