Scotsburg turns back Floodlights XI

Scotsburg United proved why they are the softball champions of Berbice when they turned back the challenge of Floodlights XI in their Bier Singh Memorial 25 overs clash  on Sunday at the Crabwood Creek ground.

(Photo courtesy Trophy Stall, Bourda Market.)After they had won the toss and opted to take first strike in soggy conditions caused by early morning rain, Floodlights XI were bowled out for 150 with Samuel Kingston leading the way with 30 (3x6s). K. Hashin (19 (2x6s) and S. Mangal 16 (2x6s) offered support to Kingston as Tyrone Sanassie who took 4-19 and Troy Kippins 3-33 looked set to destroy the batting of the visiting team.
