Man, 45, injured in AM Mandela Avenue crash

A 45-year-old man is in a serious condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital after being involved in a two-vehicle smash up early yesterday morning on Mandela Avenue
Razack Khan of Crown Dam, Industry, East Coast Demerara, sustained injuries to his head, chest and other parts of the body and was rushed to the operating theatre for surgery.

Details of the accident, which occurred shortly after 6 am, remain sketchy but this newspaper was reliably informed that Khan was driving a minibus which collided with a Canter truck coming in the opposite direction, just off a sharp turn, a short distance from the North Ruimveldt Multilateral School.
