Region Five has 42 new food handlers

The Region Five Health Department urged new food handlers to ensure that food is manufactured under the strictest hygienic conditions, at a one-day seminar hosted recently.

Forty-two participants whose businesses range from school vending to itinerant vending were drawn from Bush Lot to Ithaca, West Berbice for the seminar. The meeting covered topics including basic food; microbiology, personal hygiene and good manufacturing practices.
