Essequibian guides Trinidad team to first division spot

Former national under-19 player, Essequibo’s Deonauth Baksh guided his team Calcutta Sports Club to the runner up position and an automatic spot in the first division competition in the just concluded Trinidad and Tobago Super league cricket competition.

Baksh, who had the distinct opportunity of representing Guyana at the under-19 level in 1999, scored 561 runs from 11 innings with an average of 62.33 and a highest score of 125* against Sheffield Sports Club. He also scored four 50s.
