Benschop Foundation donates boxing equipment to Pocket Rocket Boxing Club

The Mark Benschop Foundation recently presented a quantity of sports gear to the Pocket Rocket Boxing Gym of New Amsterdam, home of Howard `The Battersea Bomber’  Eastman.

Apart from boxing equipment, the donation also involved a quantity of books, basketballs and T-shirts.

Head of the Benschop Foundation, Mark Benschop, said the donation represented a small token of appreciation for the efforts of boxers like Eastman and Orlan Rogers of Berbice.

“I want to thank you for the opportunity of giving to the youths this donation which reflects our appreciation of what you have been doing for boxing in Berbice, Benschop said.

Rogers, in a short acceptance speech, thanked the Benschop Foundation and assured the head of the foundation that the club would make very good use of the donation.
