A section of this bridge on Garnett and Middleton Streets collapsed under the weight of a sand truck on Friday morning. The truck, which was loaded with sand, was proceeding west along Garnett Street when the sections of the bridge caved in under the wheels, a resident said. Two gaping holes were left. No one was said to be hurt in the incident. Motorists, meantime, continued to use the single available lane.
