A man, who went to purchase water at Agricola, East Bank Demerara (EBD), early yesterday morning, was robbed by a gun-toting bandit, who escaped after committing the act.
Police said that they are investigating the robbery which occurred at a few minutes to 1 am yesterday. In a press statement police said that David Daniels of Republic Park, EBD, was attacked and robbed by the man, who was armed with a handgun.
Investigations revealed that Daniels went to a shop to purchase water when he was held at gunpoint by the armed man who took away his jewellery, $15,000 and US$150 and escaped, the police said.
