The Minister along with Director of Sport Neil Kumar paid a visit to the team yesterday at the National Gymnasium during their final practice session before the commencement of their match-up today against French Guiana at the Ayanganna Ground.
He stressed that this was the first ever female football championships and how essential it was to win “you are the first ever female team to represent Guyana at the IGG and it is important that you make a good impression by winning and setting the bar.” “If you have the mindset to win you will do well and defeat your opponents in the process but you must want to win and it will happen once you apply yourselves and maintain discipline” Anthony further added.
