Clifford Reis won his first major tournament for this season when he carted off last weekend’s keenly contested Members Golf Competition trophy at the Lusignan Golf Club.
Playing off a 24 handicap Reis recorded a net score of 64 from a gross 88. In second position was Mark Lashley who also played with a handicap 24 and ended with a net score of 69 from a gross 93.
Brian Hackett finished in third place with a net 70 after he recorded a gross 97 playing off a handicap 27.
Robert Hanoman won the prize for Closest to the Pin.
The Lusignan Golf Club’s 2009 season is expected to continue this weekend with a sponsored tournament which will be announced on Wednesday.
