Raid Ali slams century; bags six wicket haul

Former Berbice Under-19 player Raid Ali turned an outstanding all round performance to put Edinburgh in total command over Rose Hall Community Centre over the weekend in the Berbice zone of the Guyana Cricket Board’s three day first division competition.

Ali scored 113 and 36 and then captured 6-52 to help Edinburgh secure a 46-run lead over Rose Hall.

Also slamming a century was National Under-19 all-rounder Alex Amsterdam who struck eight fours and four sixes in his unbeaten innings of 100 for Scottsburg United while left-arm spinner Nirshaw Khan recorded the best bowling figures so far in the competition, 7-88 from 26 overs for Skeldon Community Centre.
