The GDF and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China recently signed a cooperation agreement that deals with the provision of logistics support, the Government Information Agency said.
GDF Chief of Staff Commodore Gary Best said that this is not the first time that the two countries have made such an agreement and Guyana has had other engagements with China over the years. The release said too “logistics support” entails providing body armour for the troops.
