20091127doctorsA number of doctors who accomplished significant achievements during the course of the year were on Sunday honoured by the Institute of Health Science Education of the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) at a special Awards banquet. The event was held at the Pegasus Hotel, a release from the GPH said. At the banquet, a number of awards and certificates were presented to the Guyanese contingent who completed training in diabetic foot care in Canada. Dr Ramsunder Doobay and Dr Enid Denbow were given commendation awards for years of service and invaluable contribution to the Science and Practice of Medicine. This award was also presented to Dr Mohamed Y Bacchus posthumously.
