Savannah Beauty: Eighteen-year-old Michelle Joseph copped the Miss Rupununi Queen title at the recently concluded Rupununi Expo held at the Triple R Rupununi Rodeo Site. She was sponsored by Andrew Brown of Sky TV and won $70,000 and a cellular phone compliments of GT&T. The telephone company also awarded $45,000 and a cellular phone to Gabriela Rodrigues, 16,- the first runner-up while the second runner-up, 16-year-old Sandy Smith won $35,000 and a cellular phone.
