Proposals sought for four-lane to Grove

Extension of the East Bank of Demerara Highway between Providence and Grove will soon move ahead as the Ministry of Public Works and Commu-nications has invited consultancy firms to submit proposals.

According to an advertisement appearing in yesterday’s Sunday Stabroek, the Government of Guyana has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to undertake the design for the extension of the EBD public road to four lanes between Providence and Grove.

According to the ad, consultancy firms interested in carrying out the project must include designs of completed projects while the total duration of the consultancy would occur within a 26-week period.
