Nagamootoo has been contracted by Central Sports for the 2009 domestic season and in the opening game of the Carib Sunday League on Saturday, he showed his worth grabbing two wickets for 14 runs, as his team defeated Curepe Sports by six wickets at Chaguanas.
Batting first Curepe Sports made 111 all out off 47 overs, with Marlon Barath supporting Nagamootoo well with 3/16. Central Sports in reply scored 112 for four to win by six wickets.

Nagamootoo is not the only Guyanese star playing at Central Sports. He would be joined in six weeks time by former Guyana all-rounder Lennox Cush.

Manager of Central Sports Club, Vonney Roberts told Starbroek Sports that Cush was recuperating in New York from knee surgery and will be out of cricket for the next six weeks. He said that as soon as Cush could train he would fly into Trinidad to join the squad.
Guyanese batsman Troy Cornelius is also a member of the club.
