The Ministry of Labour, Human Services and Social Security will be distributing old age pensions for the month of January from tomorrow, its Assistant Chief Probation Officer Deendayal Singh says.
According to Singh for this month pensions will not be distributed on the first Saturday of the month as is normal. From tomorrow, however, pensioners will be able to collect their pensions from all post offices throughout the country.
From February pension payments at post offices will resume from the first Saturday in the month, Singh disclosed.
Pensioners are reminded to take along their pension books and ID cards when going to collect their pensions.
