At the recently held Annual pre-Christmas `Dinner and Quiz’ at the Bistro 176, Cara Suites just over $700,000 was raised for charitable organizations, according to a press release from the organisers. Ten teams with an average of eight players participated with the victorious squad being Bryan James’ `Beyond Borders’.
Contributions for the event were donated by Giftland Office Max, GT&T, Mekdeci Mining, Cara Hotels, Digicel, Ansa McAl, Bryden and Fernandes, Iwokrama, Rockview Lodge, Wilderness Explorers and Moviestar Guyana.
Over the year, a total of $1.5m was raised for a variety of charitable organizations.
