A 32-year-old pork-knocker was not required to plea to the indictable charge of rape when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson.
It is alleged that on January 20 at Tamakey Landing, Middle Mazaruni, Dexter Aulder called ‘Text’ of 86 Sideline Dam, Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara raped a 22-year-old woman.
Aulder told the court when given his chance to speak that the charge is a ‘frame charge’. His matter was transferred to the Bartica Magistrate’s Court for February 24.
