A 37-year-old farmer was remanded to jail on the indictable charge of carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 15 when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday.
Martin Revers of Kimbia, Upper Berbice River was not required to plead to the charge of having carnal knowledge of a girl under 15 between January 30-31, 2009 at Kimbia, Upper Berbice River.
The matter was transferred to the Kwakwani Magistrate’s Court for February 19.
