Nigel’s Supermarket on Friday presented 39 winning shoppers with vouchers valued over $1 million from its Groceries Galore promotion.
In a press release Nigel’s said H Tewari of Lusignan, East Coast Demerara and Syed Mohammed Tasdeeq of Brickdam received the two first prizes of a year’s supply of groceries each.
C Reis of Providence and Jennifer Britton of Linden won the two second place prizes of a six-month supply of groceries each while the two third place winners: Christine Mohan and Helena Rockliffee of Georgetown were each awarded a three-month supply of groceries.
Twenty-three other customers were each presented with consolation prizes of vouchers valued $20,000.
In her address Marketing Executive Nicola Waldron congratulated the winners. She said it was customary for supermarkets to reward their customers.
This promotion was part of the Supermarket’s annual Christmas promotion which was hosted during December. Nigel’s said over 10,000 entries were received during the promotion.
The vouchers are only redeemable at Nigel’s.
