cows causes damage

Pasty Earl of Number 28 Village, West Coast Berbice will have to fix her picket fence which was destroyed by cows. The woman who lives alone told this newspaper yesterday that the cows also damaged a water tank and “earth wire” in her yard. She said she had seen the cows breaking her fence earlier on Sunday night and she chased them away. However, they later returned. She said she called a nearby resident and they identified the cows from the brands as they chased them to a pen down the dam. But when she went to the owners they denied that their cows had done the damage. The matter has been reported to the police. (Photo by Shabna Ullah)
