Bus driver remanded on carnal knowledge charge

A 31-year-old minibus driver was yesterday remanded to jail on the indictable charge of carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 15.

Randolph Nedd was not required to plead to the charge which alleges that on January 28 he had carnal knowledge of a 13-year-old schoolgirl at Georgetown.

Nedd was represented by attorney-at-law Abiola Wong.

The matter was called to the bench where a discussion ensued between Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson,  the accused and his attorney, a relative of the girl, and Police Prosecutor, Inspector Stephen Telford.

Nedd is to return to Court 10 on February 19 for report.
