The weigh in for the inaugural Friday Nights fights is set for 8pm tonight at the Chemical Corner, Location Two, Berbice Car Park.
The Friday Night fights programme is an initiative of the Guyana Boxing Board of Control and will entail a card featuring amateur and professional fights. For tomorrow night’s professional fights, Shelly Gibson will take on Pauline London in a heavyweight encounter; Dexter Marques will oppose Orlan `Pocket Rocket’ Rogers, Canadian-based Rudolph Fraser will take on Troy Lewis in a catchweight encounter.
The other bout will be the third fight between Edmond De Clou of Linden and Kwesi Jones. The two middleweights have clashed thrice before with Jones winning by a knockout in the first fight while De Clou earned a unanimous decision in the return bout.
