There were nervous moments yesterday near the KFC restaurant on Mandela Avenue after a small fire ignited fat that had drained way from the restaurant.
Drivers rushed to move their vehicles and the nearby Texaco gas station was hurriedly evacuated.
Fire tenders arrived around 10 minutes later and doused the blaze.
