This woman escaped serious injury yesterday after an out-of-control taxi pinned her against this bridge at Prospect, East Bank Demerara. According to reports reaching Stabroek News, the driver was concentrating on the young woman who was walking along the roadway when he lost control while trying to avoid hitting a canter truck that was attempting to overtake him. In the process he pinned the young woman. Public-spirited citizens rushed to her rescue and were able to free her after a few minutes. Though there were no visibly injuries she appeared shaken.
