Upon completion of the three-day training programme the final 14-man team will be selected to compete in the Guyana Cricket Board/Castrol Inter-County Under-15 tournament scheduled to bowl off on March 9 at Anna Regina, Essequibo.

The 26 players were chosen following the completion of the DCB NALICO/NAFICO Under-15  limited overs competition that  wrapped up last Friday at the MSC facility.

The quad includes three of the most talented openers emerging from the recently concluded under-15 tournament in the stylish and aggressive Brian Sattaur, Tajenarine Chanderpaul, who batted for 44 overs in the final against East Coast Demerara (ECD) and his team mate Marvin Pestano-Bell.

The three batsmen will also be looking for a spot on the Guyana team for the regional Under-15 tournament in Trinidad & Tobago later this month.

Other standouts in the squad are bowlers Devon Lord, medium pacer Ryan Chichester and spinners Vishal Narayan and Stephen Sankar.

The manager and coach of last year’s winning team, Raymond Barton and Garvin Nedd have been retained.
Squad reads: Brian Sattaur, Tajnarine Chanderpaul, Martin Pestano-Bell, Rafeek Nazeer, Vishal Narayan, Kevin Plant, Andrew Gibson, Chandrika Persaud, Owen Andrews, Prince Roberts, Abdool Salim, Terrence Alstrom, Kamesh Yadram, Premraj Lall, Stephen Sankar, Akasha Persaud, Devon Lord, Micheal Mathura, Ryan Chichester, Travis Persaud, Dexter George, Dave Mohamed, Darion Bess, Stephon Persaud, Anfernee Bowman and Oridi Reid.
