The Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) said yesterday that Br. Quinton Antonio Rahim of Sophia will be representing Guyana at the Kuwait International Quranic Competition for memorization and recitation from March 10-21 in that country.
Sixteen-year-old Quinton who has memorized the Holy Quran was recommended by the CIOG to represent Guyana, the Islamic organization said in a press release. The competition is being hosted by His Royal Highness the Emir of Kuwait.
