Guyanese batsman Troy Cornelius slammed an aggressive 64 to lead SIS Central Sports to an innings victory over W Connection Wanderers in the latest round of matches in the Premier League in Trinidad on Sunday.
Wanderers batting first in the match that started on Saturday scored 146 all out. In reply, SIS Central Sports made 350 for four wickets declared. Cornelius scored 64, supporting Windward Islands player Kennedy Lesporis who scored 165.
W-Connection batting a second time scored 142 all out with Trinidad and Tobago fast bowler Navin Stewart topscoring with 54 as Central Sports won by an innings and 62 runs.
Elsewhere, there was also a victory for Homchand Pooran’s Clarke Road United but the Guyana batsman did not bat. Evergreen, batting first, scored 73 all out to which Clarke Road replied with 363 for two declared. Batting a second time Evergreen were all out for 105 to lose by an innings.
