The members of the Guyana U-15 and U-18 national table tennis teams which departed on Good Friday for Puerto Rico for the 15th annual Caribbean junior championships just minutes before leaving the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
This is the second and largest batch of players following the Pre Cadet (Under-13 and Under 10) group which left the previous Friday.
The Pre Cadets won a gold medal through Chelsea Edghill in the girls’ U-13 division and a silver medal from Jamaal Duff in the boys’ U-13 division.
The U-15 and U-18 players are expected to go into action this morning with the team events.
