Thirty-six persons have been placed before the courts after they were arrested in `B’ Division (Berbice) over the Easter weekend for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police in a press release last evening said the arrests were made following traffic enforcements, during which breathalyzer tests were conducted. The tests revealed that those arrested were driving motor vehicles while over the prescribed limit in relation to alcohol consumption.
