I refer to a letter by Rayvonne P Bourne in which it is said that Roger Khan constructed houses at Good Hope on the East Coast and asks why his assets have not been seized (‘Why has no move been made to seize the assets of Roger Khan and other drug traffickers convicted in the US?’ SN, April 8).
For the record and for the concerned citizens of Guyana, let it be known that houses constructed at the Good Hope Housing Scheme were done through the Unisoon Construction Ltd, owned by AH&L Kissoon Group of Companies.
Roger Khan was contracted by Unisoon Construction Ltd to build such houses, and nothing more. Subsequently, these houses were sold to private owners through the relevant authorities in this country.
In no way was Roger Khan ever the owner of any property/properties at our Good Hope Housing Scheme.
