A helping hand: Proceeds from the recently held Link Show in Berbice were handed over to the Good Samaritan Home on Tuesday. Claudette Watson from Watson Catering made the donation to Jacqueline Henry, President of the St. Vincent De Paul Society, who is responsible for the management of the home. Watson said last year she approached the organising committee of Link Show about funding a project in Berbice to demonstrate an appreciation for its continued patronage. Henry, meanwhile, added that the gesture is a timely one, since the home is presently faced with many challenges. A resident of the home, Avril George, welcomed the gesture, while saying it will be used for its further development. In the photo, Henry receives the cheque from Watson.
