Latter Day Saints donate goods to Linden Salvation Council

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Tuesday handed over a quantity of items estimated to be worth US$90,000 to the Linden Salvation Council (LSC).

Hundreds of residents from across Linden converged at the LSC’s headquarters to witness the ceremony. The donation included clothing, toys, footwear, hygiene kits, wheel chairs, school kits and other things.

LSC Chairman Phillip Bynoe said the charity was grateful for the donations. He said they would be distributed in a transparent manner ensuring that those in dire need benefit. The items are expected to be distributed to over 100 homes to persons who are physically challenged or are underprivileged.
