Stabroek News was informed by reliable sources that the relatives were still making efforts to have a private post-mortem examination (PME) done by an external pathologist to determine the cause of his death.

Four men who were in police custody were all released on station bail following advice by the Director of Public Prosecutions that there was not sufficient evidence to institute any charge against them. Stabroek News also understands that the man who had initially confessed to have witnessed and participated in “murdering” Lindore gave a different story on three occasions. Sources said he is likely to be charged with giving false information.

Just about two weeks ago, Lindore was pronounced dead at the Linden Hospital Complex after his lifeless body was taken there from Silver Hill along the Linden-Soesdyke Highway where he was initially believed to have lost control of his car causing it to turn turtle several times. The lone passenger in the car at the time Kemol McAlmont escaped with minor injuries sparking the speculation.

McAlmont, along with a police officer, the professed murder eyewitness and another man were all taken into custody to assist in the investigations.

Relatives hope that justice, if necessary, would be served whether before or after the burial of the 23-year-old father of one.
