Unable to garner the corporate support he would have liked to fund recordings of his music, Rapper Gialiani though disappointed, says he is not discouraged and will kick off his own fundraising activities starting tomorrow.

Gialiani will host a party dubbed, ‘Soca Island’ at Mojo’s Cocktail Lounge on Main Street tomorrow night to raise money for recordings to be done in the UK.

He told The Scene in an interview this week that the support he was seeking is “just not there”.

He explained that his recent single, “London Girl” has been receiving positive feedback and getting much airplay here yet he has not been able to get corporate backers. The rapper has no plans of slowing down and will continue to record his music with his own funds.

Gialiani will also launch his official website, dongialiani.com at the event.

He said the site will have everything people would want to know about him; bio, personal information, pictures, videos and music including music downloads and blogs.

“This is something Gialiani fans would be interested in,” he said, noting also that people will get to know him and his music better.
