In a release issued yesterday Vision Guyana Chairman Peter Ramsaroop said that lack of government attention to key areas has made citizens suffer.
If preventative measures were put in place, “this massive loss would have been avoided.”

The release added that Vision Guyana is more disappointed “that the government has rushed up to the area and promise money when they were asked many times to ensure the water from the nearby creek was flowing into the area”.

Vision Guyana said it was “saddened by the loss of property of the residents” and stated that it will support the residents “to rightfully get what they deserve” that is constant running water and a proper fire brigade.
