Boys looked on as residents of Kwakwani crossed a flooded section of the Ituni/Kwakwani trail on Monday. The situation remained the same yesterday but residents there noted that the rains had eased.

Flooded trail: A child (left) stands on higher ground close to a flooded section of the Ituni/Kwakwani trail yesterday as hardy souls trudge through waist-high water which accumulated after heavy rain and the overtopping of creeks. The flooding of the trail has severely disrupted the every-day transactions of residents living between Kwakwani and Linden. It has been several days now since the trail has been flooded and efforts are continuing to drain the stretch.
