Carlos Pharell was not required to plead when the indictable charge was read to him.  It is alleged that on August 21 he stole four digital cameras and other items valued at $301,442, being the property of the electronics store.

Police Prosecutor Stephen Telford made an application for Pharell to be remanded to prison and the matter be put down for September 30 for report.  His application was then granted by the magistrate.
